Entry qualification

High school / secondary education (or higher) Good results in biology, physics & geography preferred. The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English. Often you can issue an English-language certificate of student status from your university. If this is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original. You must take the original entry qualification documents along with you when you finally go to the university.

Overview

BSc in Environmental Engineering (A 7-semester, 210 ECTS training program) in Hungarian and English.

This course provides environmental engineers with up-to-date skills in ecology, technology, economics and management, so that they can organize and supervise disaster management and remediation activities. Our graduates have professional skills which enable them to reduce and eliminate existing environmental risks, harms and damage, make sustainable use of natural resources, and implement and operate low-waste technologies. They can devise technological solutions for reclaiming waste and disposing of hazardous waste.

Our graduates possess general knowledge in the fields of environmental policy, and the protection of nature and landscape. They also have a good command of at least one foreign language and are able to liaise with foreign experts and participate in international teamwork.

With specialization in water management and water –and wastewater treatment.

Career opportunities

Specialization in water and wastewater treatment:
After completing the specialization, graduates can take on jobs such as regional or sectoral manager, water and wastewater treatment plant manager, manager of the operation of a public drinking water network or wastewater network, manager of internal water quality control. Engineers and environmental engineering specialists in the competitive sector usually earn a substantial living.

Specialization in Water Management:
Our environmental engineers graduating from this specialization most often start their careers in the public administration at regional water authorities or in the civil sector in design and construction companies.
